In this mini-mentorship, Jack Heath will discuss your manuscript via phone or video chat, assess the first chapter (up to 2,000 words) and provide a written report with feedback and suggestions.

  1. You’ll receive your receipt immediately.
  2. Jack will be in touch via email to schedule a conversation. (If you haven’t heard anything in three days, check your spam folder.)
  3. After the discussion, you can submit your writing sample.
  4. You will receive your written report within two weeks.

Please note:

  • For copyright reasons, don’t submit your writing sample until after your conversation with Jack. (If he’s working on something similar, he may choose to refund you instead of reading your work.)
  • While Jack can provide honest opinions, he cannot provide contacts, endorsements or a publishing contract.
  • If several writers sign up at the same time, the assessment may be delayed by up to six weeks. We apologise, and thank you in advance for your patience.
